IADMFR World Tour 2023 allows the submission of abstract for original contributions to the field of DMFR only (the abstract must not have been published elsewhere). The applicant must be a member of IADMFR.

Each presenting author is allowed to present up to 2 abstracts with one paid registration.

Next to your traditional abstract, you are also asked to submit a graphical abstract.

 

If you are also applying for a research award or research fellowship, you will need to submit an extended abstract as well. Guidelines for writing an extended abstract can be found here.

Criteria

Original research limited to any aspect of maxillofacial imaging will be considered. It will be judged on:

Originality and design of the study

Quality of produced data

Suitability of the methods of analysis used

Scientific value of the work

Quality of the graphical abstract (for more information, click here)

Abstract guidelines

• The abstract must be written in English, using Times New Roman, font size 11 and single-line spacing

• Special characters in the title or body of the abstract or in the co-author’s names or affiliations should be used according to instructions in the submission system to avoid formatting errors

 

TITLE

• Should not exceed 150 characters, non-capitalized font

• Spell out all words

• Do not use abbreviations

• Check that your title is complete in case you copy and paste it into the field

AUTHORS & AFFILIATIONS​

You may enter up to 12 authors in the authors list and up to 10 affiliations. The presenter must be one of the authors listed in the submitted abstract. The names of authors will be published as listed in the submission form. Please make sure you have entered the full list of authors.

 

BODY TEXT

• The text should be arranged using the following headings:

         Aim, Material and Methods, Results, Conclusion

• The abstract should not exceed 250 words

Some more guidelines

  • Do not include grant acknowledgements in the abstract content.

  • Do not cite keywords or references in the abstract, as they are not allowed and will be deleted.

Selection

The abstract will be accepted according to scientific merit. The final selection of abstracts will be performed by the Local Organizing Scientific Committee after the final deadline of January 31, 2023 (extended deadline February 19, 2023) has closed and before the deadline for early bird registration for the congress. The corresponding authors will be notified about the outcome (accepted or not accepted) of the review process.

Please ensure that the email address provided during the abstract submission is accurate, as

all correspondence will be via email.

NOTE: Registration is compulsory.

Presenting authors should register and pay the registration fee at the latest on April 28, 2023. Failure to register before this deadline will lead to exclusion of the accepted abstract from the final programme.

Application

Please use the online submission form for the abstract and submit an electronic Word-document of the traditional abstract. Through this form, your graphical abstract will be submitted as well (for more information, click here). The CV proving the applicant's eligibility should be sent to the IADMFR secretariat (iadmfr@aimgroup.eu).

Applications received after the official abstract deadline of January 31, 2023 (extended deadline February 19, 2023) will not be accepted.
