Bart Vandenberghe

Bart Vandenberghe obtained his Master degree in Dentistry, Medical Imaging and PhD at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and is specialized in DMFR imaging. From 2005 to 2007, he worked in the USA as research scholar (Temple University, Philadelphia, & Tufts University, Boston). In 2007-2008, he was Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland. Since 2012, he is member of the central council of the European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. He is (co-)author of numerous international publications as well as reviewer for many international journals and editorial board member of the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Research. He won a IADMFR research award (2nd) in 2011 (Hiroshima, Japan). In 2007, he organized a first dental mission for the Tierra Bomba Organization (Columbia), Afterwards, he finalized a research grant in 3D Cone Beam imaging and 3D follow-up at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, division of prosthetic dentistry (2010-2015). In 2011 Bart founded Advimago, Centre for Advanced Oral imaging, in Brussels and its training centre for continuing education, Advimago Training Centre. These facilities are used for consultation and planning/printing services but are also research grounds for scientific investigations on 3D image analysis and follow-up in collaboration with multiple universities.
